Get a pre-playa suntan

This is a good time to do it. Keeps you from burning too badly in the desert.

Always wear sunscreen regardless of your base tan.

Skin Cancer isn't fun.

Seriously...just had some skin cancer on my neck removed...I'm 27. It sucked. All tanning is bad tanning...cover yourself on the playa.

:? I thought the reason to go was to run around naked!
Seriously..I'm 50 and had some removed surgicaly and burned from my left shoulder a few years back. I usually wear a white T-shirt. If I don't have a shirt or some coverage on I put the sunscreen on and even when I do wear one, I have the sunscreen on and keep reapplying it several times daily so I smell like a craked coconut.

Excelent information. Thank you. Right now I'm sportin a farmers tan.
Since I work outdoors, my skin doc informed me that I should apply sunscreen even in winter when I might be wearing a heavy coat, over a sweatshirt, over a longsleeve T-shirt, over a regular T-shirt.
Even in summer I've worn a longsleeve T-shirt at times.
I heard recently that it's not so much the spf rating as much as how often sunsceern is applied.

I will be wearing sunscreen all week, as part of my costumes. I believe it to be an important accessory, not to be done without.

You can still run around naked at night, with the proper illumination, of course.

I wear a huge lifeguard strawhat, and long sleeved t-shirt, pajama pants during the afternoons.

Guys are so lucky. All they need is a t-shirt, some socks and sandals, and they're good to go!

0. In fact, it would increase your burniness. Just be sure to drop dead by my camp sometime around breakfast.

And you never tried that yourself?

Plus the usual zinc oxide face treatment. ;)
