I think this might more properly have gone in "General Discussion" this section being for "Politics and Philosophy" of the event/llc/that theme camp you loved last year.
Oh, and thanks for dragging this old crap up again. Be prepared for some very ruffled feathers.

And what about that kid who keeps trying to give me books and trinkets for a "small" donation? I didn't see him in that picture either!
Oh wait... He's one of those hairy krishas... nevermind.

As much as I hate to admit this, I got suckered in by them in my early early 20's for a short while. I had heard from a friend that it had something to do with psychology and the mind, so I went to my scheduled appointment. They told me I needed all these book sof theirs. *kaching* During my 2nd appointment with them, they gave me these personality tests. I was a pretty happy gal in my 20's, mind you, and I felt very well balanced psychologically. There wasn't anything wrong with me! Their tests, however, showed differently. OMG, did they ever come back badly. Those people tried to tell me I was all fucked up in my psyche, and that through their wonderful program they could make me into a whole person, which of course they could do with X-amount of dollars.
I told them to go shove their tests.

I like to randomly drop off a CD of their entire secret OT Levels in front of any of several local 'churches.' Multiple thousands of pages of some of the silliest bullshit written by a dead, hack science fiction writer.
It can get especially entertaining on weekends where they hang out in the downtown BART stations pimping their little shock therapy tests to the unsuspecting tourists.

That's because the own most of the best real estate on the Blvd. They started buying it up when the Blvd was out of favor and run down. It's surprising how deeply involved they are in Hollywood. They own some prime property on Sunset Blvd too and they opened up some sort of school/university on Vermont at Beverly (I hope I'm remembering the subway stop correctly)djnormanj wrote:Can't walk a block down Hollywood Blvd without passing one of the "testing centers"
You can always tell by the cozy home library appearance with a window front of inocent looking L. Ron Hubbard SciFi books.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

So what does that mean, that you have to be either a Jew or a Scientologist to be in the Movies?bx1 wrote:I'm normally not one to poke fun at anyone's beliefs but what the hell, this is EPlaya!

PS- I don't really like the reference to Gays as sub quality actors though!
Their New York HQ is on some pricey real estate too....(I wonder if they still have the six-story tall Dianetics volcano mural?)jkisha wrote:That's because the own most of the best real estate on the Blvd. They started buying it up when the Blvd was out of favor and run down. Heh...."Battlefield Earth" was just on again the other day. If you TOLD me that Travolta and Whittaker were in a sci-fi movie, I'd probably get enthused until I hit the theater and found out that it was THAT movie! Whew! The themes of alien invasion and profiteering are certainly warning signs...
Howdy From Kalamazoo
Not only did Battlefield Earth not have legs at the box office. It didn't even have arms to pull its skanky shit out of the gutter.

Oh, would I like to be a partner in crime!
It's a long, strange journey to a restrospectively inevitable destination.
Be very careful when doing anything untoward. One of them got so incensed that I was protesting them that they ran me down with their car. My foot nerves took years to heal and are still not 100 percent. I will likely never walk right again due to siesmoid bone problems and I can only walk for short times and wind up paying a dear price in pain for my efforts. Sometimes the RSD was so bad I was in a wheelchair and it utterly ruined most of my burn in 2007. I had seriously considered self amputation and suicide more times than I can count (still do now and than). I am getting better as time goes on and now that I have a doc giving me Oxycontin the pain isnt making me as crazy.betrdanevr wrote:Isotopia wrote:I like to randomly drop off a CD of their entire secret OT Levels in front of any of several local 'churches.' Make sure you wear a mask, Scientologists especially love this one.

They like to photograph people and make files on them for when their SeaORG military come back to take over the USA. Also make sure they don't get your tag number. Steal a license plate from someone else to use for when you show up to operations against them.
Be sure to read the other Scientology thread.. while the parts of my story with them may seem kinda wild and almost unbelieveable you should take a read into what happened to Lisa. The story is on whyaretheydead website and here.

I am no longer physically or financially able to deal with protesting Scientology so please do so on the behalf of those that can't. Just make sure you have legal counsel on retainer and be prepared to be stalked and harassed like never before.

"a big empty hole, waiting to be filled"
by L .Ron Hubbard's diseased little dick, which has been kept in storage, high above the Hollywood Hills, wrapped in the finest silk, and only used on very special occasion, such as the Opening of pelham 123.
all neophytes must suck on the dismembered member, and while hooked to an "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" meter, must watch "Valkryie" even though the already know how the film is gonna end..
Tom Cruise is NOT gay, because Gay doesn't exist on the planet xenu.
and John travolta had nothing to do with the euthani....i mean tragic death of his less than xenu-worthy son.
all of these things are true. so help me Ron.

tl;dr
You guys do know their total sham "Volunteer Ministries" camp is going to be at Burning Man this year, yes?
I plan to be dedicating a good couple of hours to standing outside their camp with a bullhorn and handing out fliers. Would love to hook up with anyone else who wants them to know that wherever they go, we are there.
