Where are the potties this year? C-D or D-E?

In 2008 they had two sets of potties on the "minor" radials (ie. not 2,3,6,9,10), one of which was from C to D, and the other further back. In the smaller city of 2007 and earlier, they were usually between D and E, and there was only one set.

This year we have a smaller city, but it goes back lots of streets. I have seen some playa maps showing them on C to D, but others have suggested it's back to D and E.

Anybody actually know, either because they have seen the real map or are out there on the playa?

It affects where we're going to end up and how we do our final camp map, so information is appreciated.

Hi, Brad, I downloaded a map for my Garmin that shows potties at D and I. I'm not sure what the authority is for where they're shown.

That map shows the potties as being between C and D, which is where they were in 2008. They tend to run from the inner street about halfway or so to the outer one, though sometimes the whole block as nobody really wants to camp in the extra space.

What's the source of this map's location on the potties? I have seen maps like this one before, so what I am hoping for is a report from somebody on-playa or who has seen the placer's true map, the one with all the details.

http://earth.burningman.com/ is not yet active. It's supposed to be turned on tonight, but that may be playa time.

Check there occasionally for more information.

The guys who do the maps don't say where they get their information from, but they occasionally mention that they don't have permission to release some info on maps yet. shrug - I imagine that means it's from BMOrg.
