I'm thinking someone needs to have a Ghetto City in Metropolis. Shady characters hanging around, dope deals going on, trash and beer cans on porches...

Mixes Cranberry Shrub
1 quart cranberry juice
2 cups sugar
1 lemon peel
2/3 cup lemon juice
1 quart club soda

Simmers cranberry juice, sugar and rind, uncovered, in a saucepan (NOT aluminum) 10 minutes, stirring now and then. Off heat, mixes in lemon juice; cools, pours into a bottle, covers and refrigerates. Fills a tall glass with shrub, adds ice, and fills with club soda. Serves~ John and MP

Touche, Mozy! hehehe! Maybe Ghetto Town isn't a good idea after all. People might be mugged or beat up...or worse. On the ground is a chalk outline of a person from the night before. I envision homeless toothless old men hanging out around a burn barrel, shooting the shit, pan handling for money so they can get some MD20 and a few smokes. Hookers galore. Crack being manufactured in an old abandoned building. Gunfire in the alley.

Man, that's a sad place. Never mind. Don't do this. It's too depressing.

But WAIT!!! Superman is in Metropolis!! He'll come and save them!! He'll fight the bad people, running them off, and then get all his super hero friends to volunteer to help the ghetto people clean up Ghetto Town.

Then they'll live happily ever after. The End.

Hello all.

Monkeypoo - Guess who's glorious boobs I saw at the booby bar? Yep, there they were pasted into the front of the guest book for all to see.

Kisses from the default world for all those wonderful peeps I was able to meet while on playa, as well as those I didn't get to meet. It sucks that I had to leave Thursday but wedding in Germany was super cool.

Except...while in Germany suffering yet another unexplained allergy attack, I realized that I'm allergic to wine, and possibly all alcohol.

Hey Goathead; Some of us are still travelling and can't get online much!

Gosh I wanted to meet so many people and I did but I missed Artemis. Darn it all. Oh and I missed Cryptofishist too. I went over there a couple of times but she wasn't there.

Saw ygmir, gyre, littleflower, pinegranny, TITWI, OneEyedDick, Leggs, Risky, Ugly Dougly, swampdog, Shimbala, Simon on the Playa, and of course my neighbour Goathead. Oh and I'm sure I met others but can't recall at this moment. Met lots of new people too.

What a great burn. The weather was great. The Temple burn was a real highlight for me. Spent the whole night there among the embers and early into the morning, Joan Baez sang Leonard Cohen's Hallelujiah. Since this was one of Caleb's favourites and we were going to go to his concert together in May, it was especially poignant for me.

Okay folks, we need to get looking after our health this year as a number one priority. Pinegranny had her issues just before the burn but Goathead had to be med-evac'd off the playa - scared the heck outta me!!! Not to be a nag here but really we are each so loved by others that we need to find a motivation to stay healthy.

That's it for me for today, I think. I'm still on the road. Will check in tomorrow. BTW, I have a new hero on the playa: Simon! The story will warm your hearts but I will save it for next time. Simon is the bestest!
