Hey All,
It was another wonderful year on the Playa, but this year brand new was our ferris wheel art car called the TimeCycle. We are hoping to bring it back next year and it would really help to have evidence of it being seen this year! If you took a picture of it and are on Flickr we have a group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/timecycle/ or you can email us at [email protected]
Thank you so much!

I couldn't stop gaping when I saw the TimeCycle—well done to you and your crew! I was grinning like a fool and chasing after it Friday morning.carlynorama wrote:If you took a picture of it and are on Flickr we have a group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/timecycle/
Of course, you already found my TimeCycle photo on Flickr..
This was one of the most amazing constructions I've ever seen on playa. Duane's World? Didn't this come all the way from Vermont? HFS! We found it just after a keyway in the axle went. I sure hope you make it out next year!!!! Do you need volunteers on your crew?
I'll give you my pics as soon as I get them off my camera.

Thanks!
Thank you guys! It means so much to everyone that we actually managed to get out onto the Playa this year and that folks liked it.
A huge amount of effort went into it; we have a long list of improvements to make it more robust for next year. We are hoping to get permission to bring it a bit early next time and people saying they loved it hopefully will help.
Yes, it got trucked all the way from Vermont... LATE because an axle bent on the first truck!!! It is HEAVY. Our camp is Duane's World after our fearless-organizer who is the engine that makes it all possible. And of course also B&J, Homer Wells, John Cohn and the mad number of volunteers...
I'm sure more volunteers would be LOOOOVED. Shoot and email to that address in the top of the post and when we have a list... you'll be on it :) We've got folks in VT, LA area and SF now... Let me know what you like to do.
THANKS!

We were camped at 8:20 and L - watched the wheel rise over the course of two days. Appreciate how much work went into getting it there and putting it together.
This was first year for our mutant vehicle, a shiny (well, for the first few hours anyway) silver fish. We took some pics of TimeCycle coming together. Will post soon. Thanks for bringing an amazing piece.
