noticed some anger here.....

Post by pandasex » Sat Sep 12, 2009 12:44 pm

I think shortly before BM comes around ppl are excited and talking about preparation, see u theres.....

Then after BM ppl are bitching and all around cranky to one another.

Do you think that is just because they miss the playa so much?

cant we talk about the good times?
I have post playa depression :(

I've noticed it too.

I had a fantastic time on playa. This was my best year yet and I can't wait until 2010. Being attacked by Nutella covered nipples while I was in the Bondage Barber Chair was a life altering experience. Helping so many burners by fixing their rides was a completely great experience.
Thank you BRC for another year of wonderful trials, victories and good times. I am doing what I can to let it spill over in to defaultia.

from the pov of online communities, you must not have been around here much just before the event. every year leading up to the event, there is a boardwide outbreak of hostilities.

happens every year... and yeah, following there is also a generally larger amount of discussions and debate as people share experiences. law enforcement presence, camp drama, exodus waits, discarded trash...

I wasn't a virgin to the playa but was to Burning Man. I had the best time! I miss it already and am planning for next year! The first night ride out into the deep playa looking back towards the city was probably the most spectacular, incredible thing I've ever seen in my 42 years! The genuine friendliness of everyone I'd met is so uncomprehendable in the default world. We passed out over 200 Otter Pops near the corner of 7 & Kinship on Thursday afternoon in the heat of the day, I was a little overwhelmed by the appreciation and joy on peoples faces and hugs for such a small gesture. Although, after we'd handed them out, I was a little concerned about the MOOP factor  . I never saw an Otter Pop wrapper any where on the ground afterwards, so it appeared everyone had the sense to throw them away. :D What an awesome time!

You should go out there in the spring, after the rains unbury all the moop that got buried. Actually found some interesting stuff. A brass pipe of some sort...looked middle eastern...a gold digger button, and a cool ass necklace.

I find past years moop every time I attend. Granted I have early access and naturally look for moop everywhere I go. I found a really cool medallion once but the lanyard loop broke off as I extracted it from the ground by the string. I dug it up and it ended up floating around here at my residence for a while.

i seen so much moop one day i brought bags in my back pack the next day with some storage bags. Filled them both in like 10 mins the next day. On top of that i had to bag a bottle of piss someone left.

but i felt like i had tried to take care of my beloved playa and inspired some newbies to do the same. So really mission accomplished. Inspire the newbs. My first year i was inspired by a hippie kid yelling at me MOOOOOOPPP and pointing on the ground. It wasnt even mine but i now play the game :D

Me too. Our camp is having a decompression get together Friday. We're trading CDs of uncensored pictures. Hope it helps. Might make it deeper

Set the micrometers on the tooling stages to their nominal positions before using the stages at each step.

Maybe this is the weed out period. Burning Man can't get much bigger than it already is. A lot of newbies attending, expecting this or that. As well as older burners getting sick of changes and new fuckheads... were thinning the numbers

People are pissed because last year was better. Where were all the goddamn dust storms this year? Burning Man without Dust Storms = Suck.

I did what I could in july. Drove around the playa for hours! Even raced a sand railer to test his speedometer. But, I think it rained a week later...fucking up my handiwork.
