Sky Barley huh? I wonder how you would grow such a thing? I prefer the simpler age old time tested process of simply placing seed in soil and letting the natural would do it's thing.

I see there's hoof prints to and from the bar. Must mean DaMule's back around. Hey! Now there's an interesting idea for a mead, oats and barley flavored. Thoughts? Comments? YG? GH? Anyone?

Oh, and it's good to see that everyone is making it back to their defaltia homes safe and sound.

Hey everyone;

Greetings from the Blue Moon Tavern in Seattle. Caleb was a bartender here in the late 90s and early 2000s. His many friends here are sharing their stories tonight and I am among friends.

As for the mule - that is not a silly animal, ygmir! That is one smart ass!

And I wanted to thank you, ygmir, again for that lovely hunk of granite. I expect to be able to pound leather for the rest of my life on it.

Whiskey and Old Seattle Lager is the order of the day here.

Evening all! How is everyone tonite? Guess I can't say I didn't hit decompression this year after all. Been down for a couple of days now, missing my playa friends and the incredible energy out there. I know I will survive but it still sucks. Maybe a sarsparilla will help! Barkeep?

Hey Goathead - I lost my passenger but I think it will be alright. Tonight I'm among friends and I don't have to drive so I'm having a drink. I'm in Seattle and will probably go to Roslyn tomorrow then onto HWY I 90 to start the homeward trek.

Hope you are looking after yourself there, Goathead! You gave me quite a scare being med-evac'ed off the playa, you know. Get a grip, man!!! People in this world loves ya'.

then they gave me a choice to be evaced to Reno or let Monalot drive me.

So did what any old redneck goat would do, I lied, and let monalot drive into Gerlach, took a shower, "didn't want to leave dusty hoof prints in St's" and drove myself in.

Just what any old goat would do.

Sorry Warren didn't work out till the end, but all things considered you guys did pretty good. Two strangers decompressing on the road has to be hard.

Goathead - you had to leave in a vacuum cleaner? I got my tail stuck in one of those once. It sucks, seriously.
I don't understand why you folks insist on consuming grains once they smell funky and stuff. Eat them when they're fresh - they're much better!

I noticed Pinemom posted bloody marys somewhere else cuz she said the bar was taking too long to load. Deb was also on slow connection but since she's on the road am thinking it hasn't mattered.

Of course we could all just follow Mozy's advice and click the dropdown box at bottom of page that limits what it loads to last day or last 2 weeks or something, rather than letting it try and load all the pages of the bar back to the beginning...

well, yeah, except, I think, you have to download the whole "bar", to get to the page with the drop down, to allow you to only download the last several days.............
so, I don't see the advantage.....
and, I don't see a way to make that permanent.

I just did the drop down thing, and, it worked for "refresh", but, when I logged off the page and went back to "the bar" , it still did the entire history.............

am I doing something wrong?
