info on making flame machines

I live in paranoid England where the thought police discourage any anarchic deviations and info on burning machines is hard to come by. I want to make fire sculpture and have many ideas. Where can I find basic info on construction and materials needed. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

what kind of flame effects are you looking for? Like the little cannons you see on the back of DPW trucks? Smaller propane effects? The fun ones are fairly complicated...to me at least..I played around with weed burners and sprayers filled with kerosene. Not exactly the safest method, but fun for charring up your bath tub. Their are a few experts here on the subject, and a lot of info has been posted. Search around eplaya...

"Flame effects" works better.

Jellied gas is fun...but the BLM frowns upon it.

Machine..any device with moving parts? Doesn't sound right, but pretty sure it is. Or maybe its more than two...either way, the toys I made would have been machines. Dance dance immolation has a good site with their stuff.

Mr eworms, before you go playing with fire, id recommend starting simple and learn all you can before making it an art piece. Who knew a hot dog cart could blow up? Threw me across the warehouse.

You get the idea. I've noticed that a lot of the old web sites for making these things no longer exist. mostly videos now but little in the way of step-by-step instruction.
