Temple '09 Photos

Post by eyeruh » Tue Sep 22, 2009 12:36 pm

Hi all,

I was the photographer with this year's temple crew. I've posted photos of the pre-event build on our site as well as shots taken during the event itself. Photos of the hard-working crew are still to come but I didn't want to keep y'all waiting any longer!

Thanks to everyone who visited the Temple or sent positive thoughts in our direction. It was the experience of a lifetime!

Great photos! The temple was absolutely amazing this year. I must have walk the upper deck 20 times amazed by the engineering it took to build that creation. It was a fitting structure for the somber and dignified mood that it created.
Congratulations to all who took part in fabricating that.

Got a great looking cat there. Take good care of her.
I to was amazed at the fore thought of constructing that structure.

This year's temple was unbelievable, the most amazing structure I've seen on the playa.

Thanks for the pictures.

I happily watched it burn, tears streaming down my dusty face, tipping back a bottle of Jamisons.

A definite highlight.

Thanks y'all for your kind words--it's seriously appreciated. And yes, that's Fredwina -- she was recovering from tail-trimming surgery due to an altercation with a neighborhood cat but she's doing much better now. She belongs to Dave and Marrilee (our fearless leaders at Community Art Makers).
