Bullshit, lemmings...
If this turns out to be the plan...I will urge all who may be unhappy about it to show your displeasure by withdrawing from any volunteering.

There will be a Tribute. To Micheal Jackson, of course. In fact the King of Pop's demise is so much more important to us than any of that evolution crap that we changed the theme.
Didn't you get the memo?

It's not a matter of "hate"
But I thought we were supposed to leave the pop culture bullshit of the Default World behind?

Michael's Royalty trumps our petty concerns. The world may have ended last month. We're just who's left after Micheal's rapture.

Who are you to decide what is and isn't left behind and why the hell are you so concerned about it? Seems like you are the one that can't let it be left behind. God, STFU. Shouldn't you be packing or something?DeepSpace wrote:But I thought we were supposed to leave the pop culture bullshit of the Default World behind?

A group of people dressed like Michael Jackson cluster fucking on top of an RV while the man burns.
Like I said, a good opportunity to "poke" around. Or poke a round.
Ha!

Is that really what you're thinking about in the final days before you leave?

I just don't understand why this upsets people so much. Yeah, the MJ coverage has been way overblown and everyone is sick of it, but is it going to ruin your life if Billy Jean plays for 10 seconds before the burn? If it does then I feel really sorry for you.
And you don't leave pop culture behind, you just morph it into something less soul crushing

It'll be a ghostly debate between Robert McNamara and Robert Novak to see who will be hated more by generations to come. It'll be moderated by Walter Cronkite. During the breaks there will be a quick advertisement with Billy Mays and Gidget (!Yo quiero OXI CLEAN!). At the conclusion Ted Kennedy (ouch too soon?) will declare the winner.
Frankly I think a week being miserable in the desert would be worth seeing that.
