just got a call from deb....she's approaching rochester, and will soon be the second e-playan to see my secret lair(s).
fciron has seen the bat-cave and will probably never be the same.
i will also be taking her to the ONLY bar in town, Lux Lounge and Social Club, 666 South Ave.
seems apropos.
the virtual bar is fun, but the real thing is funnerer.

And there's no reason that insane goats can't imitate sane goats. In fact, it may be a good disguise.

true, although, I'm told it's easier for a sane goat to act insane, than, the opposite.....I extrapolate that info from a Star Trek episode...........

she's on her way to woodstock, and i'll have you know, i am a gentleman.
why do people always think the worst of me?
because they believe in gossip and rumor instead of verifying facts for themselves.
I may be as crazy as a Loon, but i am an Honorable, Decent Loon.
i just look scary as hell.
I'm sure Deb will confirm this to be true, you cannot judge a book by it's cover, and I am not so easily labeled or catergorized.
Nor am i the Lothario that everyone would like to live vicariously thru.
i just enjoy keeping the company of beautiful women.
so shoot me.

Finally arrived at my host's home near Woodstock.
I will strenuously confirm Simon's gentlemanly hosting skills. He was certain to give me a tour of Batcave 1 and 2! The two most interesting places I've ever been in. I would love to move to Rochester to help him with his projects - Simon's building is at the centre of the ArtWalk area. And he is a supporter and encourager of all creative endeavours in Rochester. I'm so thoroughly impressed by the work he does.
Also Aydin was nearby so we shared the Canadian brew I had brought and looked at all of his art.
I'll report further later - my host is anxious to feed me. Later folks.

Very gentleman-like. Held the doors open, gave a very good tour of the complex - a former industrial place with a main floor retail full of shops, galleries, etc. and then work-live studios in other parts of the building. Simon has the entire basement to create a workshop and living quarters. Several thousand square feet and lots of good left over cool industrial stuff.Simon of the Playa wrote:she's on her way to woodstock, and i'll have you know, i am a gentleman.

No, no Simon it's not the rumor mill, it's because you tower over them, Simon. People are always thinking the worst of the very tall.
I can confirm that Simon is an honorable and decent loon. Lovable and soft on the inside too - you know, like the burnt marshmallow that was cooked to quickly!I may be as crazy as a Loon, but i am an Honorable, Decent Loon.
No scarier than most. I still thinks its your height that is a bother for some people. And it's their problem not yours.i just look scary as hell.
Not easily categorized except to say that Simon has vast knowledge about many subjects some of which might be considered unsavoury by the weak-minded or mediocre.I'm sure Deb will confirm this to be true, you cannot judge a book by it's cover, and I am not so easily labeled or catergorized.
Definitely not Lothario. I enjoyed our conversation immensely. Oh and one clarification, Kunstler isn't going to be at Woodstock except in ghost form - it's his two daughters Emily and Sarah who are presenting the film about Kunstler's life.Nor am i the Lothario that everyone would like to live vicariously thru.
i just enjoy keeping the company of beautiful women.

aw shucks, I'm working on living up to that! Someday.
Oh and put your guns away, folks. BM needs people like Simon and so does Rochester. He makes stuff happen in both places.

stop that...you're lucky you caught me after my weekly electro shock therapy treatments.
i'm glad to see you made it alright deb, disregard text and voice mail asking if you had.
c'mon, at least tell them i'm a little scary, otherwise my whole schtick wont work as well.
and thank you for the beer, we will be drinking it later this evening as we do the thing we do.
what's that you ask?
the same thing we do every night....plan to TAKE OVER THE WORLD!
feel free to stop by on your way back, we'll be testing our new genetically modified disease on unsuspecting normals...Bacon Flu.
one whiff, and they abandon all hopes of ever going back to the way they were.
those infected so far have shown 100% resistance to all defaultia germs, including mutant hippy strains, and now can live in an environment as dusty as a used vacuum cleaner bag.
i of course, tested it first, on myself.

There's no need to fear!Deb Prothero wrote:Ygmir, I'll add carrots and apples for Santa's reindeer.
Does Santa visit the bar?
Or is that Mozy sneaking down the chimney?
Santa Claus is here!
Oh wait, that's a different guy.
OK, so normally I crash through the door, leap across the bar, grab something good off the bar, chug it and go. Maybe I need a do-over
Santarchy BRC, Thursday 3pm, Center Camp.
Lean, red clad stranger, slips out of the bar, then bounds into the bar, dives over the bar and smacks his head on the floor, fumbles around, grabs the bottle of Lagavulin off of the lower shelf, and drinks most of it. He dives back over the bar, and bounds back out of the bar, laughing....
