Hey nothing wrong with someone writing a book. It's just interesting that she'll be the first person to have finished writing a book before she finished reading one.

I totally agree, and love laughing at public (especially politicians) personalities...........

it just gave me a chuckle on that other thread when you seemed so aggravated at people pointing out the failings and falsehoods of Obama, and, his broken promises, but, the quickness with which you jump on someone you disagree with..........
I also remember you having said you are not fair, that you like one side, and, of course, I appreciate that. You have always maintained your integrity and been consistent in that...........

just a little ribbing.........I meant no offense.

And non was taken.

I think the post and thread you refer to is the one where I said that "this thread just pisses me off". :) Which is true, and I said that mostly out of frustration and my decision to not engage in those arguments any longer.

Frankly, I miss the days of intelligent, gentlemanly discourse, however this is no longer the case, nor is it possible. The republicans have been co-opted by birthers, religious right fanatics, death panelist and others that have 'opinions' based on lies, half-truths and prejudice making any discourse futile.

Now I come to eplaya, don't click on those threads anymore, and just have fun and not worry about my blood pressure! ;)

I've always appreciated our discussions, JK.............you are a gentleman in them, for sure.........tough, but, reasonable.
I know, we'll probably not agree on certain things........and, I also know, we can disagree and, be polite (slightly acrid and acrimonious, sarcastic maybe, but, that's about it, and, always with a smile)

I lament the loss of civility in discussions relating to politics and religion..........they are so interesting......but, so often, they devolve into name calling and personal attack...........

People can't seem to see that, just because someone disagrees, they're not all bad.
Just because a person has a different set of wants and needs, does not make them evil.
Merely seeing a different mechanism or path to a certain goal, does not an evil doer make.............

so, fuck off............

hahahaaha, just kiddin'.........

LOLOLOL That was funny Ygmir.

I have always enjoyed discourse here with you and even though we have disagreed at times, your arguments always made me rethink issues and many times made me reevaluate my opinions.

Unfortunately, I can't think of anything to top your punch line.

What does this have to do with Palin and her followers or even this thread?

Skewing away from the thread drift, this is hilarious.
Why is it these people are so easy to sucker?

Angry crowd shouts at Sarah Palin book signing tour after Palin quits and refuses to sign books for around 300 families that spent about 3+ hours getting a wristband and another 3+ hours waiting in line to get the Palin book signed. At this Borders bookstore it was announced that 1,000 individuals would be given wristbands and could get two books signed each. By the time Sarah Palin quit, there were still about 300 individuals and there families who did not get even one book signed.

Sarah Palin revives 'stupid conspiracy' of Obama's birth certificate

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washing ... icate.html

December 4, 2009 | 6:41 pm

We're still scratching our head as to what exactly Sarah Palin meant by her four-sentence blog post Thursday night on Facebook.

The blip, titled "Stupid Conspiracies," starts out with a clear complaint about "conspiracy-minded reporters" during the election bothering her doctor and lawyer about whether her baby, Trig, was truly her son. She's of course talking about Andrew Sullivan's blog post, which sparked the nontroversy.

Then Palin triumphantly points out that she never "asked the president to produce his birth certificate or suggested that he was not born in the United States."

OK ...

Because The Ticket spent many months in 2008 attempting to decode various statements and allusions by Palin, we've got the experience to give this one a crack. We've narrowed it down to two possibilities.

Possibility A: She wanted to take a moment to highlight that she had reached the moral high ground.

See? She didn't question President Obama's legitimacy as an American citizen, unlike various conservative skeptics, pundits and conspiracy theorists. Or she had already seen the birth certificate when The Ticket posted a picture of it in June last year.

We're not really sure what point she'd be trying to make there. It's a nonsensical analogy. It's not like Barack Obama hosted a radio show and called her a baby faker.

Anyway, that's option A.

Possibility B: She fought tooth and nail to restrain herself from asking the crucial question of whether Obama could produce a legitimate birth certificate during the campaign. (Again, he could.) But no more Mrs. Nice Gal. It's time to ask questions. We demand to see the birth certificate! (It's right there.)

So, we're pretty stumped. Tell us in the comments: Is it option A or B? Or you can make up a completely incoherent statement and call it option C. It doesn't matter.

Updated, 8:55 p.m.: To clarify, the issue of Palin's baby was raised on her blog in response to a radio interview question.

Yeah well, try being a President with a birth cert that has a verified cert number.

Birtha's are the dumbest of all next to Palin's, Bush and Cheney's followers.

hey! i ain't no birther, i am rather enjoying watching obama. if you'll remember, i was the one who predicted that obama would *not* reverse bush policies ... and looky here! nearly a year later and we're still in iraq and he's escalating afghanistan. how do you explain that? or are you too busy gagging your chickies to think about it.....
