Even better, one can transmit infection even during an absence of symptoms. HSV-2 is prevalent in 1 out of 4 women in the US, and 1 out of 8 in men. HSV-2 outbreaks generally occur more frequently than HSV-1.Ugly Dougly wrote:Once you have it, it never really goes away. What fun!

Friday, preburn, I got a feverblister on my right upperlip. I treated it with blistex. It was healed up by Friday, postburn. I believe it was caused by working hard, and heat stress. I may have sunburned my lip also, a little trigger to the viral outbreak. Next year I'll use a sunblock lip balm of some sort...and pace myself better.

Neat unflavoured Listerine sorts out loads of ailments. I would of thought it would be magical on cold sores.
By day 4 I thought I ought to clean my willy, so I doused it in Listerine. i was expecting it to kill any unwanted bacteria/fungus but I wasnt......
Honestly its fine now.
I like homeopathic medicine now.

About 1 in 3. And no, it is never too late for you to join a monastery, Altar boy.Ugly Dougly wrote:What's the percentage of people infected with HSV-1? Is it too late to join a monastery?
Fun Fact...people with recurrent oral HSV-1 shed virus in their saliva about 5% of the time even when they show no symptoms.

I usually get a lip outbreak after a peak stress and/or continual high power sun exposure. For me this year it was 64 hours with out sleep coupled with roughly 16 hours of direct sun exposure. In 6 (oops 7) burns I have had 3 outbreaks and never get them anymore in defaultia. I am lucky.
Next year I will be wearing a bandanna like a bandit while on work detail.
