Burning Man 2002...temple burn

Post by TomServo » Fri Oct 02, 2009 11:00 pm

I think 2002 was my favorite! Floating World?

The morning after the man burned, I was checking out the flyers on the post board in center camp. A lady next to me complimented my Edward Gorey tattoo. I thanked her, and somehow we got into a long discussion about Mr. Gorey. I said, before leaving, Hope to see you at the burn tonight.
I showed up for the burn with a camp mate and a 1.75 Liter bottle of vodka. As 15000 plus peeple showed up, I figured I wasn't going to see her again. The burn was awesome..needless to say, and as we walked around the fire, I stopped for no good reason... turned around. And there she was! i gave her a big hug, said good night and went off to ponder the odds. Woke up face down in the dirt outside my tent, completely naked. Damned Vodka!

I guess the coolest thing about BM is those awesome meetings you have with people, then never see them again...in this case two meetings. Makes the experience soo much more profound.
anything worth doing is worth overdoing..
