SF De-compression - who is going?

Post by Ugly Dougly » Mon Sep 28, 2009 11:34 am

When I came back from the burn, I saw a friend that I had met previously. I braced myself to explain what I had gone through. But at the words "Burning Man" her ears pricked up and she said that she had been to burns in 2001 and 2002. That certainly surprised me; she doesn't really seem like a burner type.

Now she's all into going back next year with me, and certainly is interested in the De-Comp party.

So who else is going?

I'll have my little ragtag music sculpture in the Park, and the rinky-dink MV on Illinois St (well behaved this year).

Swing by, poke at the sculpture, and have a shot from the Flask of Delight.

Camp Gravybrain will be there! We are an acid jazz band from Chico Calif that has played live on the playa for the last 2 burns and we will be playing the SF Decomp this Sun Oct 11th on the 19th St stage from 2:30-3:15pm. We played last years decomp on the Mariposa stage and got a band picture with Larry holding one of our stickers. Hope to see some friends there!

Come early and see myself and some of my staff cohorts perform!

We'll be a passel of singing USO gals sent to entertain the troops! 2 PM inside Cocomo...fun times, AND at that time of day there's still parking if public transpo just won't cut it for you. :)

So I showed up at her new place with a video of the 1997 Burn and a bottle of the blood red wine, and we got...distracted. Hope the Decomp was as much fun... :)
