Misery Loves Company by Mike Ness

I share computer space with someone else and I tend to listen to the whole thing in shuffle mode (unless of course I'm having a Finntroll fest.) This should expose me to new music, but I still don't like rap. And my friend has discovered the joy of one dollar cds; which means that there's all sorts of stray stuff that I try and give a listen to but that I hate admitting I have it or, even don't know what it is.

Now it's switched to "Drift & Die" by Puddle of Mud.

Gustav Mahler's Sixth Symphony as performed by the National Youth Orchestra of Canada which arrived in today's mail.

The daughter of a Toronto burner won a scholarship to play cello in the NYOC this past summer and I attended the performance in May in London and in June in Toronto. While at the concert in Roy Thomson Hall, I ordered the CD that was being produced.

I have more faith in humanity when I see the capabilities of some of our youth.

Hmmm, funny. A house of her's burned in the Detroit area a few back, as well as some of her recording equipment getting stolen and then turning up in a local pawn shop. She priced the stolen equip at 1 million, while the paper reported it as being considerably less, no more then 5 figures if I recall. When questioned about the disparity in amts. she claimed the higher figure was the result of emotion.

Uh huh. My spidey senses are tingling

The house here was the one she lived in when she was here.

If there were master tapes lost, the value might be hard to calculate.
And there may be an issue of privacy involved too.

The fire and the theft were two sep. events. But, true, if she lost master tapes, gold records etc, it would be hard to estimate the intrinsic value.

I just find it rather strange that now, 2 of her homes have burnt. Most people never even have one burn.

Maybe she needs to quit smoking in bed or leaving the stove on
