So, I'm pretty lousy at online introductions (which is just damn pitiful after over a decade of internet-related nonsense), but I thought I'd drop in, see where the bar is and eventually get around to saying hello.
My name is Gabriel Ricard. I'm a writer/actor/comedian/editor/god-knows-what-else from Savannah, GA. I was actually born in Canada, moved to Virginia at thirteen, but I just got to GA a couple of months ago and have been kicking around that part of the world ever since.
I've sadly never been to BM, although I've heard a hell of a lot about it over the years, always strange, wonderful, kickass things.
I'll actually be coming up for the next one as part of Unlikely Books. Unlikely Books is part of the well-know literary zine Unlikely Stories, of which I am the Assistant Editor, and we'll be there to meet people, hang out and hopefully let people know a little more about us.
My plan and hope is to hang around this forum, get to know some of you cool kids and maybe even get some insight on the things I need to do to help prepare Unlikely Books for the trip. I'll be putting together some information on this and that for my boss, and besides the prospect of meeting people I thought that perhaps this forum could be of some help in that regard.
But there's plenty of time for that. For now, I'll shut the hell up and just say that I'm glad to be here.

welcome barnaclelapse;
More writers are always welcome. I write for the on-playa newspaper: The Black Rock Beacon. Be sure to pick up your daily copy for news about what's going on in the city.
Your project sounds interesting. I'm also a Canadian and have chosen to stay here. Make the trek to Burning Man each year.
Welcome to eplaya. Ask your questions and you'll get responses, some of which may even be helpful. Read the first timers guide on the main Burning Man site and that will contain most of the information you need for preparing for the playa.
