You Know You Work With Morons When…….
You know you work with morons when a guy you work with gets sick over the weekend, gets tested and is found positive for the Swine flu, and shows up for work Monday morning still sick because, “I have a lot of work to do.â€

Had a client come in the office - coughing and saying she felt horrible. Halfway through the meeting she said she has swine flu - was just released from the hospital. When I interrupted and asked why she was here, she said "because they won't let me go to school with the flu"......

How about this. I had to give the local cops/firefighters/city employee's flu shots, but my own ems company did not provide them for us
Told us to go get them on our own.
We were provided swine flu shots, though they came through the local health dept. and were specifically designated for all ems workers in the county. Surprised my company actually told us.
It might not be a bad idea to re-purpose your dust mask for use off the playa
And carry around the industrial sized purell container.

Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

Our county is doing the following with the first batch...
CDC's Target Populations ONLY: Pregnant Women, caregivers for infants under 6 months old, and those with underlying health conditions.
Haven't heard about law enforcement yet. Hope to find out more at a meeting tonight.

CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) has recommended that certain groups of the population receive the 2009 H1N1 vaccine when it first becomes available. These target groups include pregnant women, people who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age, healthcare and emergency medical services personnel, persons between the ages of 6 months and 24 years old, and people ages of 25 through 64 years of age who are at higher risk for 2009 H1N1 because of chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems.geospyder wrote:Our county is doing the following with the first batch...

Yeah, law enforcement is going to have to make the "we're first responders" argument. Well, all the diabetic cops.... Yeah, anyone can make a doughnuts joke...

Apparently the health care personnel already got theirs. This batch will be for pregnant women, caregivers for infants under 6 months old, and those with underlying health conditions. Public service announcements have been released for tomorrow’s paper. It’s going to be interesting sorting out those that insist on vaccinations but don't fit the above conditions. Law enforcement might be in the next round - no official word yet. Addiction to donuts - does that count as underlying health conditions?

When I got back from this years burn there were posters EVERYWHERE in our company telling of the signs of the flu and to STAY HOME if you had the flu.
They also provided everyone with an industrial size container of disinfectant wipes.
You would think people would get it………you are sick…….stay home.
The people who work for me have been told “unofficiallyâ€

Pigs on a Wing - Pink Floyd Animals
If you didn't care
What happened to me
And I didn't care
For you
We would zig-zag our way through the boredom and pain
Occasionally glancing up through the rain
Wondering which of the buggars to blame
And watching for pigs on the wing
You know that I care what happens to you
And I know that you care for me too
So I don't feel alone
Or the weight of the stone
Now that I've found somewhere safe
To bury my bone
And any fool knows a dog needs a home
A shelter from pigs on the wing
If you didn't care
What happened to me
And I didn't care
For you

At my place of work he would have been sent to his dwelling for the rest of the day, so that he could home in on his mistake.Isotopia wrote: We sent him home for the rest of the day so that he can dwell on his stupid mistake.

Actually:
h = 4.136 E-15 eV sec
h-bar = h / 2pi = 6.582 E-16 eV sec
And:
E = hv (not h-bar)
