Virgin burn 2010, any help
So i've started preparing as far as joining the email lists, Jack Rabbit, ect. I have some friends that are helping me get my stuff together, tent, shade structure, goggles, costumes, ect. But i'm still a little nervous i dont want to forget anything, got plenty of time to get ready so if there is anything that anyone forgot or something someone wouldnt generally think about to make the trip a little more comfortable it would be greatly appreciated...I'm bringin everything i own to the playa as a jump off place to who knows were so i'm goin to have to pack in pretty tight, thanks for the help, cant wait to participate in a beautiful experience, much love and peace

Welcome to love and peace.
ePlaya is full of comedians, so don't take the jokes as personal. You say you don't know where to start, but you've made your start. Louise and I have suggestions for first and second timers and links to other suggestions which you may find helpful:

Here's my suggestion on getting helpful replies: specific questions about specific issues. Broad questions like what do I need or what's the best tent sort of go down the rabbit hole into wonderland because there's no real answer.
Your offline friends will help, but so will the gang on ePlaya. You have to be around awhile, just like in the real world, before people know you, you know them, and people can give you useful advice based on who they know you to be.
Have fun, and we'll see you next year. (Louise and I have harvey tokens, by the way. They're no big secret. Someone's just pulling your leg.)

Hey Krispy, Chicago is loaded with burners, (OK, more like infested)
But they are a charming lot, have very frequent get-togethers, and have loads of experience. Are you on they're announcement lists? If not I can hook you up with the info. They are also co-conspirators with us peeps in Detroit on a new regional, Lakes of Fire. You should make an effort to attend that next summer, late June where you can test out ideas youve conjured up over the long cold winter for use on the playa, and more importantly, check out the pizza oven, built last summer courtesy of your chi brethrens.
Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

DPW would drive the monkey to the airport.
And buy him a ticket.
Just to see the fun!
Oh yeah, to the OP - be sure to at least bring a good dust mask that is light enough to wear all day, plenty of ear plugs (with the highest db rating you can afford), food, water, and shade.

Nah, they'll hit it with a truck. If the truck won't knock it down, they'll get their dozer. Then they'll _take_ your cigarettes and booze.C.f.M. wrote:Or duct tape you to it. Or push it over.Fire_Moose wrote:What's the difference between a ranger and DPW?
A ranger will try and talk you down from the 40foot scaffolding, DPW will throw rocks at you
