i think theCryptofishist nailed it on the head. people hide behind their computers and it gives them carte blanche to be complete assholes. when i first joined here i was expecting the love and friendliness i found on the playa and was disappointed by the same old immature bullshit you find on every other internet message board. having said that, i met jkisha at this year's LA Decom (who was very lovely btw) and when we talked about this he informed me that at "eplaya meet-ups" (wtf?) the rude people are actually really nice so the whole hostility thing is an online pussy's way of having fun. go figure.

I was in Terminal City, several times that week - and the Booby Bar is actually one place I wandered into a few times, hoping to put some faces to screen names, and got that overall cold shoulder, not in the clique feeling.

It isn't a big deal. I'm not trying to state anything, just sharing what my personal experience was.

Another time was night time. I was with two of my campmates.

No big deal. I mean, one night, I couldn't even find a bar to serve me.

I just had a bizarro land playa experience at times.
