Truth, Justice and the American Way in Sociaties

Post by theCryptofishist » Mon Oct 26, 2009 7:42 pm

Is truth obsolete or ascending? What is justice? Vengeance? or forgiveness?
Is the American Way like the Milky Way?
Whither begonias.

Are you stuck at home with the flu or something?

I hardly think the state of my health is your concern.

Unless you want to start a thread about it.

I guess the question more delicately might be; "What the fuck are you talking about?"

Oh, that's easy. I'm trying, probably to no avail, to "mix it up" here and try and get some interesting conversation going. But having utterly failed at Emily Post, I don't have six or seven gambits in my pocket, so I dredge up some half-formed thought, not yet ready to face the light of day, hoping that I will be able to strike some sort of fire.

Meh, it will sink to page two in a week.

Speaking of pancakes.

If you're rowing your canoe down the river and the wheels fall off, how many pancakes does it take to cover a dog?

Trick question! Ice cream doesn't have bones!

Oh my god. You just made me realize that my life is, and always has been, an empty mockery. Ice cream doesn't have bones, indeed.

Not sure if this is a soul pancake or not.

What I did today???

Helped a burner (who called the suicide hotline) to move from one city to another in Michigan before she became homeless on November 1st. Moved her to her daughter's apartment.

Took her to her heart surgeon who gave a letter declaring that housing was imperative. Surgery was last week.

Took her to housing authority in new city to get her to the top of the list for Section 8 so she could get housing before November 1st. Insisted we wouldn't leave until a list of apartments was given for us to check out. Got list of apartments.

Daughter will take her to these apartments tomorrow so she can have housing before November 1st.

Really all I did was listen and say let's do it today. :D

Muscles will be aching tomorrow but I don't care, I'm wearing a mile-wide smile. Cost - one day of my time and one tank of gas but who's counting?

that's awesome, deb ....

but is that the american way, or the canadian way?

oh, who knows, it takes lots of different characters to make a world.

oh ... and ice cream COULD have bones... depending on the flavor. fish ice cream, for instance.

littleflower;

Not sure if it has a national identity. I'm thinking maybe its the burner way and that knows no boundaries.

I love fish and I love ice cream but not sure I want to mix the two. :D
