Demi Virgin Burner >>BM2010 from Outback Australia

Post by Gumby Roffo » Fri Oct 30, 2009 2:14 pm

G'day,
I'm planing on heading to the burn in 2010 for my first real life experience . I have participated in 3 regional virtual burns online. Time to hook up with other Aussie burners and glean some guidance for the trip.

Cheers
Pete :D

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Oh sure guys, leave the serious discussion to the latecomer.

Read the survival guide now. It's located on the main webpage. Then read it at least once a month until July 2010, then read it every week. You'll be in good shape by then.

Hooking up with Aussie burners is a good idea to get ideas on the travel arrangements. Kudra is one Aussie burner I met this year. Not sure what part of Australia that Kudra is from but that woman is a frikking rock star of a burner. She is the queen of DO-ocracy.

Ain't it horrible that we just goof off, knowing that you'll do the descent thing and give out good information?

Yep Google earth will show some of the Playa's we have here.. although they are very sticky once you crack the crust. Cheers for the info, Kiwi land sounds like a good pre-burn/regional to attend as long as it doesn't involve sheep ( I would like to be able to return to Oz after it). :P

Everything should work in preview.
