National Recycling Day

I never even heard of America Recycles Day,and now I get to spend the next two weeks wondering if it will happen this year because the organization that runs it is going into bankruptcy.

Maybe recycling could be a self-education exercise this year while they sort out their status. There's enough good information about recycling that a special day is hardly required for the self-motivated.

True.
But, we could do better. Think of what we'd save on dump fees!

I work in the environmental field and sometimes I see real dopey mistakes in the garbage, composting, and recycling practices.

Yes, and then California wouldn't have to ship its garbage to put on the north end of the playa at Jungo either.

recycling is overrated. The trash companies pick all that stuff out and make a load of money anyways.
