Archival footage BM90

Post by Deb Prothero » Fri Nov 06, 2009 12:42 am

Scott Beale at Laughing Squid put up some archival footage today taken by Kevin Evans on the Cacophony Society and the first BM at Black Rock.

Very interesting links under this video as well.

Maybe you need to get a halo, like ygmir's got. Might give you sunshine all night long.

I was hoping this thread would start some stories from the early 90s but maybe no one's had a chance to see that video yet.

Homie; can you tell me how you did that? Take one frame out of the video like that. Many has been the time, I've wanted to do exactly that and I don't know how.

Oh and I'm on a MacBook Pro laptop so don't say "right click". There's no such animal.

Can anyone identify people who are still involved? I watched it a couple times but I don't know anyone in it but I'm sure others could identify old time burners and Cacophony Society folks.

I'm on a MacBook laptop. With an optical mouse. With two buttons and a little wheel for scrolling. Because I like having two buttons and a little wheel for scrolling. I can understand that on the go you may not want to use such, but nothing wrong with having one on your desk at home that you can use when you want. Of course, I have mine set up so that it has a "left click" to do the fancy stuff.

hey Deb,

that picture is not from the video but from here:

which is from Danger Ranger's flickr site that i found through that link you posted. coincidentally to take a frame from a video you're watching simply pause it where you want it, then push these together:

Apple, Shift, 4

then your cursor turns into a cross that you can use to highlight anything on the screen that you want turned into a picture on your desktop (automatically titled "Picture 1"). you can then open that in Preview and save it as a JPEG or the other options.

happy clicking! :)

You're both so clever!

That's a great idea, Crypto, never thought of it. Would make life easier for doing the fun stuff.

Okay, homiesinheaven, I'm going to try that and see what happens.

Thanks, glad folks enjoyed the sharing of that video. 'Course we might all want to be RSS'ing Scott Beale's site anyway. He often has good stuff there.
