For some reason, Tribe is giving me the "remove" option for all the threads. I must admit I'm a bit drunk with power, but I wouldn't dare delete anything.

Hmmm, there's a couple threads from the spring that I might have been tempted to delete (in the heat of the moment). However now that I consider it all, I'm long past caring how stupid and small-minded people want to make themselves look in front of the whole community. Yeah, good thing I couldn't remove it back then, it all turned out for the best.

Understatement is never a liability but all that winking from SailMan is going to earn him a beer. Right over his head on my next visit to the Motor City. :P

Actually, the winking isn't as disconcerting as those mouths moving in that "I've got an irritant under my lip, just like Mr. Ed" way.

I think it gets really real in here (tribe too maybe), when someone needs big time help. These boards are great for raising consciousness and money and just kind words ( I know you're reading this Fishy and I acknowledge my limitations and shortcomings when their meaning hits me.)

Someone on Tribe who is a friend but not a real close friend, just sent out a private email that shared some deep stuff that was breakthrough kind of stuff. I think we're better off if we evolve and support each other as that comes up.

Breakthroughs in the emotional human experience are profound whether expressed virtually or in real life. The interwebs do seem to be weaving us together (sometimes against our will).

Welcome to the club. I don't often delete, with certain exceptions, because you just never know where it can all end up.

And to think, all them smileys must be driving Badger/iso up a wall.

Another reason why 3playa was created.

Did I miss something? Is Badger and Iso the same person or do they have the same distaste for smilies?

Both, SailMan.

This one's so easy to understand. Let me break it down for you.
Mark Pincus owns Tribe. He also owns a little company called Zynga.
Zynga...is into social media apps these days. If you're on Facebook, perhaps you've heard of one of his apps...FarmVille? That game is going like gang busters, and Zynga is making mad money right now with the potential to make much, much more.

So...step into Mark Pincus's shoes for a bit (ignore the stench). You have one business that is a cash cow / virtual money machine (Zynga). You've got another that offers a minimal revenue stream and needs lots of work and cash invested into it (Tribe). Hmmm....where would you be better off investing your time? Yep, Zynga...which is precisely what he's doing. And I can't blame him. You gotta get in and ride it while you can...it's hot today, gone tomorrow. So there you go...that's the long winded version of why Tribe sucks so bad lately.

In short if you're holding out hope that Tribe will improve soon, might I suggest you offer a prayer to St. Jude, the patron saint of lost causes? Divine intervention is about the only thing that could save Tribe unless the Zynga virtual ATM breaks somehow.

Pincus doesn't own tribe any more.
It may not mean that tribe will find its feet any more that it would have under him but it does mean that your analysis is based on faulty information.

Just sayin'.

Good to know my source for that info on Tribe sucked...and is out of date. My apologies for getting it wrong. On the flipside it does mean that Tribe has more than a reliance on prayers to St. Jude working in it's favor.

I'm addicted to FarmVille. Level 29 in just 2 weeks of partially playing. I heart Farmville!

I steadfastly refuse to fall victim to Farmville, but I must confess to finally breaking down and playing Mafia Wars.

DOUBLE FAIL!

Actually I am not sure I can figure any of those games out.
I've been too busy playing in the developer area.
The FBML is pretty fun and there are some fun tools there.
