From Africa with love - 1st Burning Man but not first burn

Post by colinski » Thu Nov 12, 2009 8:56 am

Hey everyone

My name's colinski but you can call me Super C. Been aiming at 2010 Burning Man since last year. I'm from South Africa but currently living and working and teaching in South Korea. Attended the first two editions of Afrika Burns (the regional Burning Man in South Africa) and figured it was time for me to step up to the big leagues. My interactions at the regional were profound and I look forward to seeing you all in Black Rock City next year

Peace and love
colinski

Hope you make it.
I know someone here from there.
He says I'm the only person to come close to pronouncing his name right.

Sounds like you have quite a commute.

Tell us about that regional.

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Sorry for the late reply. So much to say about the regional. Its called AfrikaBurn and the third event was held this year. The crowd peaked at 1600 this year (which I'm sure has its advantages and disadvantages). I didn't make this year's one but the first two were incredible for me on so many levels - both in terms of my personal growth and political/social outlook. Any specific questions on it feel free to hit me up

Much love to you all
See you on the playa next year
