There was an eplaya bar camp in 06. There was a sort of collapse before 07. 07, 08 and 09 there was the booby bar, expected back in 10. The Black Sakha (Sabha?) was there in 08 and maybe 09. Not sure of 10 status.

Simon and Ugly Dougly; I'm afraid to burst your bubbles on that movie. Saw it at the Woodstock Film Festival and it wasn't even worth my time to write a review. Think of every conspiracy theory cliche that there is and it shows up in the dialogue. The whole film is a running cliche. Too bad 'cause I likes me some George Clooney. George does what he can with the dialogue but it is so poorly written that it's embarrassing to watch him deal with it.

Of course, it was the title: The Men Who Stare At Goats that made me sign up for that one. I was thinking of our friend Goathead!

Speaking of Goathead - is he still stuck in Idaho???

Its actually not even made it out of the Dr. Pepper trailer. TOO heavy!

Is it not even funny, Deb?? One would expect at least that from a comedy.

I studied the guy (Strozzi-Heckler) that taught meditation to Special Forces soldiers, and the other guys who were supposed to be Remote Viewers (Joseph W. McMoneagle et al.).

I believe there were other programs, including wet work.
They are supposed to be shut down now, but announcements of programs ending have been false before (such as SR-71).
These were always black ops anyway.
I am told results were mixed, but sometimes dramatic.

Well, Le Chat the original furnishing of said Eplaya bar BAR was re-named the Black Sabkha.
Beyond that none of us know????

As for the E-Eplaya bar #1, it was found to be unstable and not user friendly to those of us still using dial up in remote locations, such as homes.

There are hopes that one day it will stabilize.
In the meantime...we cruise around all the bars on this joint!

Congrats Risky!!!! I know the new fire marshal is rumored to be very questioning, as she is quite new.

I have 2 best cups of hot choco...

One was in a little town called Alamos, deep in the mountains of mid peninsula Mexico,Circa 1979. One of those little towns that the world has never touched.We had a danish chef at the villa, and every morning we woke up to a tray of coffee and choco, with fresh Mexican rich creama.

The second was my first Snuggler on a ski hill, Squaw Valley, circa 1982, "Night skiing". Skiing down the hill racing the head sous chef from the Hyatt Lake Tahoe, where I worked.( we used to all get together for the night skiing(which I wonder if they even still do?).
Went in to the lodge to warm up a bit, and it was 2/4/1 snugglers...Rumple Minze was brand new to the world...Ahhh!~ So nice~ warmed the bones twice as nice as a shot of whiskey on the hill boddabag!

It snowed yesterday, was so pretty, then it stopped short of the vision I wanted to see this morning. I would feel cheated, but the flakes at one point were those heavenly 3 inch wide slowly drifting clouds....ahhhh~

Im going to build a mock fireplace under the Bar slab! with these 90%off Halloween orange LED's I got!$0.49a box.

Thought hell, if heater is on, all I need is the ambiance!!!
Plus we can put the kids stocking on the under side of the bar slab. Purrrfect!

Risky and gyre are into sports tonight. Congrats on getting your inspection over with Risky. Next time I'm in Reno, I'll be looking for a tour. As for gyre and his rats, hmm, I don't know what to say about that kinda sport. Must be an American thing.

Ugly, you may very well enjoy the film but I can tell you honestly that the CIA film with the goats is an unfortunate bit of cellulite in which George Clooney makes a professional attempt at interpreting lousy material. The short bit with the Steven Segal cameo is utterly unbelievably laughable. Maybe that's what makes it a comedy - who am I to say. Anyway see if you can win a free ticket from your local radio station, then "The Men Who Stare at Goats" will be worth your money! Sorry to burst your bubble. Any single one of us on these boards could write a better film script!

If however you get a chance to see "The Messenger", please make that attempt a serious one. It is one of the best films I've seen in my lifetime. It is beyond a doubt the best anti-war film I've ever seen and it doesn't even attempt to be that. Woody Harrelson and Ben Foster do an excellent job of interpreting the role of the messenger. Also Samantha Morton gives the performance of a career in this film. I believe it is Academy nomination material. Best director and Best Screenplay for Oren Moverman and Best Supporting Actress Samantha Morton. Harrelson and Foster put in Oscar nominee performances but I'm unsure of the competition for those awards so won't lay odds on them.
