The Hitchhiking Contest : Paris - Dakar

Hey everybody !

My name is Roch, I'm french, curently on RTW wich I started hitchhiking, from Paris, I did a bit of hitchbiking too, but that's not the point. The road from Paris to Dakar, is really incredible. Not that I had decided to do this once in particular but I did it, and when I realised it, well I had this idea...

Create The Hitchhiking Contest, because there are many things to live, see, feel, experience or whatever on this road, hitchhiking because it's for me the best way to meet people, and get in touch with the reality of a country. But mostly cause it Rock's ! You have many things to see on the road, for the sensation seekers you can go in the Weed Fields in Ketama Morocco, or take the longest train on earth in Mauritania, cross the Sahara, a no man's land, etc etc etc ... but for the others you can also avoid it and still see landscape that'll blow your mind.

Anyhow here I am, talking to you about this project, I chose this date because I wasn't sure to be back before, and I found it funny ...

the start is the 11 - 11 - 11 as 11 : 11 in Paris, no arrival date, it's not really a race, just a get lost and go thing. Big leaving party the day before. check the website
