Join the Black Rock Wine Cellar!

Post by Lucifer » Fri Dec 18, 2009 11:06 am

The Black Rock Wine Cellar is ascending from its humble origins in the basement of the Golden Cafe, and expanding its services for 2010! Are you a sommelier or a wine lover? Would you like to help us construct the cellar, handle the wines, and manage tastings? We're seeking folks from existing camps who want to lend a hand, as well as new folks who want the opportunity to make their mark on relatively new but successful camp.

Find us on Facebook...

Or on the web...

Light and heat,

Lucifer

Winebuff here :D

I told Lucifer I would help but trying to get out of my real world job somewhat since I work 60 plus hours a week in the wine business. I am more than happy to help, just trying not to commit for the entire time. Please use me as a resource for any questions etc leading up to and during BM. I can be reached at [email protected]

I am more than happy to help out. Just going to focus on my martini-making skills too while I am there

This sounds great. How many different varieties of 2 buck chuck will you be offering?

Our primary offering is the refrigerated storage for your wine, although we do store our own wines there, and tend to do a few tastings over the course of the week. We have yet to store, or open, a bottle of chuck in the cellar, although I have poured many a bottle of the stuff into vats of spiced wine in the kitchen next door - I can only assume its the delicate craftsmanship in every bottle of chuck that makes it so amenable to...boiling.

I have a collection of vintage whines in my basement.

I hate it when people stand up during the burn, I can't see the Man.
But it's so hot in the desert.
Und so weit.

Creating a cellar would mean digging below the playa floor. Would they allow that?

They never seemed to care when I buried all those filthy hippies during the week. Probably were happy the place didn't stink as bad as it had been.

I am a wine rep and we distribute 2 buck chuck. Spend a couple bucks more, trust me :)
