Destiny Lounge in 2010... or not.

Hey there, gang! We of Destiny Lounge have had a great time putting our camp together for you the last three years! In fact, this last year was so amazing that I'm not sure we could ever top ourselves! And so in 2010, we are very likely taking an off year. We'll still be on playa but look for us a couple of blocks back in the 3:00 area. No formal theme camp for us: we're going to do a kick back year and spend a bit more time on volunteer stuff and just having a good old participatory time without having a theme camp to keep track of! Pretty sure we'll be back and up to our old (and some new) tricks in 2011, but its a bit too far off to say right now!

We also recently lost our website server, but we are now back on the air, although the address has changed! Thanks to all of our playa friends who have made having our camp such an incredible time! We're not going away, just stepping back to recoup! Thanks!!

Yes, I loved me some neighbors this year!! Rest assured you won't be rid of us that easily as I plan on seeing you folks bunches!! And who knows... something could change between now and April 29...

I can completely understand... It's a ton of work doing a camp like yours BigBlue... I feel the same way, and have a feeling that Transmorphagon isn't going to go big this year, but One never really knows, eh? I suppose I could be convinced, but it will depend on a lot of factors. I do know I can't do what I did last year in terms of raw effort again, whcih is what is making me personally feel like stepping back.

Take care of yourself. One of the most annoying things is a bitter old burner who gave too much for too many years and now spends his/her time spewing bile.

As the theme camp questionnaire deadline looms closer, I'm still very comfortable with our choice to take the year off. I'm feeling very excited to have a different Burning Man experience this year, offering my time and energy to other various projects as it seems fit. Still thinking that Destiny Lounge (or something) will have a revival in 2011, but its far too early to tell. Love to you all and see you on the playa!!
