As a '10 newb, I gotta say I hope the playa is a whole hell of a lot more pure than these here interwebz forums as far the absence of commercialism......I'm really looking forward to losing that defaultia dependency for a week.

Hope I'm not setting myself up for some emotional failure.

Ice and even coffee are okay. I understand the need for those things, and I'll have to buy both probably. It'll just be nice to get away from the everyday advertising of bullshit widgets we're subjected to.

I guess I'm imagining a 'would you like a' instead of the 'you need to buy a' kind of thing. I don't think that's outside the realm of possibility.

Good question, Oldguy. We've had a bit of snow here in the East but I'm not sure how they are doing out there in BC. I expect the mountains will have lots for the skiing events.
