Checklists- if you wear rings, bring a necklace/chain

If you wear rings, you may want to bring a necklace or chain that you can put your rings on and wear around your neck. I am just now remembering that my fingers swelled up while on the playa, probably due to all the water I was drinking or maybe it was the altitude. Whatever the reason, my wedding ring no longer fit and I had to take it off. So, just a thought, if you have rings you want to keep on you, bring a necklace to put them on or have a safe place you can keep them instead.

one of the most useful freakin things i took last year was a pack of those lanyards you'd normally attach badges to.

if you're walking around naked (or even semi-naked) you probably don't have pockets for all the shit you wanna carry around with you.

little things like chapstick, little flashlight and your portable ashtray go nicely on a lanyard around your neck.

of course you end up looking like I did with a metric fuckload of weirdass dangly shit on your chest... but that has its own charm (right?).

Ah yes, the advantages of wearing clothes--- pockets! Need a place to carry the sunblock afterall , plus a vest or shirt is a nice cushion between your back and the hydration pack you're carrying. Pants or shorts make the fanny pack a little less awkward... and oh, gotta have shoes or sandals with socks because those pictures and stories of people with playa foot just gross me out!
