oh dear me, more crazy imaginations ..... maybe there's nothing in them but old stuff that wasn't fit for the museum. but that wouldn't make a very good novel, would it .... ?
as for birth rates .... most younger catholics ignore what the vatican says, or considers it to be a guideline, or something. it's muslims who are having babies like crazy.... check this out:

italy is at the bottom! and the US is below china .... that's even more interesting ....

No cites.
I have a friend who was involved with the network.
I don't know of any church administration policy on the illegal stuff, but there seems to be no attempt to stop it.
The effort to promote immigration in general is no secret.
I don't know anything about them trying to affect muslim immigration, but I would be stunned if they don't.

http://www.cis.org/articles/2001/blueprints/jordan.htmlSince the majority of the undocumented immigrants are Roman Catholic and a substantial number of legal immigrants are Roman Catholic, the Catholic Church has played a pivotal role as an advocate for the rights of immigrants and refugees.

we are all immigrants.
"irish need not apply."
how quickly they forget....."give us your tired, your poor"
any anti immigrant sentiment makes me sick to my stomach. Fuck you in advance, all that might prescribe to closed borders, you suck, and you're a fucking hypocrite.
"keep on Crossing"

gyre ... advocating for immigrant rights is very different from recruiting people to immigrate, which is how i understood what you said.
people who are happy with their situation at home don't uproot themselves away from their families and cultures because some church asks them to .... they are looking for a better life. and we have an incredible standard of living in the US ....

I think they do both, and there are many churches involved in illegal border crossing, which is not immigration.
They are fond of saying it is a civil offense.
They have no respect for countries or democracy.
I think they want a theocracy and are no less a threat than anyone wanting to subvert a country.
At the least, the goal is to maintain church power in this country.
At worst, no country.

Sad is just a word for Suck Ass Depressing.
Oh the saddest thing I saw in this thread, Glowstix are bad. Don't get me wrong the Arab/Chinise bashing over who's responsable VS Who makes more babies VS the argument on just how poopie the future will be without oil that my fellow burners are engaged in makes me a bit sad. But really what got to me was,
. Maybe I should have a little more faith in my fellow man in our plight to save our collective asses, and a little less dependence on a Glow-blig-sparkely night for a good time.
We Burners are a contrarian beast, we hold long debates over Peak oil, overpopulation, Theocratic warfare, snark fights, and Proper Punctuation. But we also take action, at the problems we see, this time it is glowstix. My sadness is born out of fear and it is not as shallow as you've already assumed, I see that we burners are much more capable of fixing the Glowstix issue and the playa night will never be the same, Default world will probably never fix it's myriad of problems, and it's scary. sad Scarryjkisha wrote: ...
