New burner from Chicago!!

Post by AlisonJoy » Mon Jan 04, 2010 1:25 pm

So this will be my first time attending burning man and I am definitely excited!

I am debating on whether or not I want to burn alone or bring a friend or two since it is my first time, advice?

Welcome to the forums! This will be my first year, as well - but bringing my girlfriend who has attended in the past!

Look forward to hearing about your preparations for the burn!

Any particular ideas, themes, costumes you have in mind?

If it's a hard sell, don't bring you're friends. If they say "Hell Ya!" consider bringing them.
Ideal campmate: works hard; Brings his/her own infrastructure and tools; Laughs at your jokes; Is not a drama queen; Shows grace under pressure; splits when you find a playa cutie for a playmate, but is mysteriously there when that cutie turns out to be a dangerous wacko; Cooks like a sonuvabitch on a propane stove; Doesn't panic when you can find your ticket on day three on the drive out, etc.,

You're not going to find all of that in one person. So look at the pluses and minus and make your choice.

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me
