pin back buttons
Since my house arrest...I made a stupid mistake working on my rifle,we'll leave it at that....I took up rug hooking. While repetitious, its hardly therapeutic.
About 2 years ago, I bought a $300 button machine. It makes 1 1/4 inch buttons. The backs, and mylar run about $20 for 500. I'm willing to press some buttons for you, provided you buy the material. I can press anything that can be printed on paper. Keep in mind, paper thickness is crucial...the thinner the better. PM me if you want some made. If you can get a couple samples to me, I can press em too see how they look.
The diameter of the button is 1 1/4 inch, so the image should fit a circle slightly smaller.

Id rather it be sent to me. I can try out a few prints and send them back. I've done all my pins through kinkos. Multi color copies tend to be printed on thicker paper. It can be done, it just takes a little longer, to make sure everything seats well. If its a dual color..black and white or black on any color paper, I guess you could email it.ygmir wrote:TomServo:
so, you need the paper printed and sent, or, do you have print capabilities?
Can you be more specific as to paper type, if, this is the case?
That is a very kind offer, thank you for making it.
Once we have the right design, a single sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper can hold 25 or so copies.
Either way, email or snail mail, I think I can get the image. Send some samples, and ill send you the pins back. Then choose the design that works best.
I will send a few extra pins, as the backings don't always press right.

I think I do...otherwise, material can be bought online and sent to me.Deb Prothero wrote:wonderful gift of your time, TomServo.
Do you have a paypal account to send the money for supplies or do you want a bank draft money order? Please send your mailing address by PM to send a colour sheet printed.

I bought a few thousand button backs, after deciding fuck it! Keep it simple.. so ill do 250 pins, anything beyond that, figure out a barter. My rugs almost done, and I can't wait to do something different. Calculated it out, and their will be over a mile of yarn in this fucking rug!...all cut in 3 inch pieces. Yes, I know they sell precut yarn...I like doing things the hard way for some reason.. oh well

No..don't care for video games anymore. And all my girlfriend watches is americas next top model. I just like having something to do when I'm drinking. Used to love drawing celtic knotwork, just for the repetition. And cleaning my guns is not an option right now.oneeyeddick wrote:nice offer dude, but don't you have a Wii or something ?

Video games are kinda quirky, and usually do become repetitititive, so I see yer point.
I mostly play pinball and bowling(with girlfriend) on my wii.
Losta pinball, lots and lots of pinball.(unemployed)
America's top model isn't so bad, my girlfriend has me watching Glee....and liking it.

After they kicked out Lisa...diaper girl...in cycle 3, I stopped watching. She was the most interesting.oneeyeddick wrote:Video games are kinda quirky, and usually do become repetitititive, so I see yer point.

That's cool! Buttons are so damn easy to make, but the equiptment is expensive...for good buttons anyways. Hats off to them! Did buttons at the roller disco bar, to pass time. Got some awesome french fries out of it.janicels wrote:there is a camp at bm that makes photo buttons from your cameras sims card it is called bmanbutton camp
