Welcome! you'll have a blast. I learn more by talking, than listening. That may be why my IQ is in the single digits.Svenski wrote:Don't mind me I learn more by listening than talking.
Read the first timers guide as well a the preparation guide--over and over. Start gathering your supplies now and ask questions if you can't find the info after searching.
See you in just 7 short months.

Oh and dont forget anti-melting makeup and plenty of face powder!!!
(well guess you could use playa dusting, heheehe)
Fore some reason all the creamy eyeshadows like to end up somewhere south of your nose and east/westy of your eyelids!!!
So keep in mind....dry pack shadows, less moist foundations or eye prep creams.
Or when applying make sure its not as thick as you would do going to a club. Do apply good Face cream, as it is -10% humidity. but let that set up before your foundations!

Nah, go with tattoo's, they last longerVictorian wrote:What about a product such as a "makeup primer" like MAC's makeup primer powder, or Urban Decays liquid eyeshadow primer?? Any ideas?
Would Mineral makeup be better?
So Svenski, you a troll or a yooper?
Also, a good place to get your feet wet is our own regional burn last weekend in June, Lakes of Fire. Where your soul for the big burn is sure to be whipped into a frenzy
Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

Aren't you from a desert, used to 100+ weather? What do you wear there?Victorian wrote:What about a product such as a "makeup primer" like MAC's makeup primer powder, or Urban Decays liquid eyeshadow primer?? Any ideas?

Whatever that is, then throw some ground up sand on your face, and there you go. Playa make-up.

Hey Svenski! What Sailman said. Check out LakesOfFire.Org to stay on top of the looming ticket sales for our regional burn. It'll be a great way for you to meet others from our area, but I have a feeling tickets will sell out and probably quickly. What part of the state are you from? For the Midwest we have a pretty active community on both sides of the mitten.
