Hey burners!

I just bought my ticket two days ago and can't wait to see you all on the playa! I'm super excited and joined here so I can find a nice camp and get prepared appropriately!

I see fellow Aussie burner fyrebird just posted a short time before me - hey mate! Come say hi if you're even down in Sydney.

I look forward to getting to know you all and exchange hugs, help, butt slaps, inspiration, dust and crazy conversations!

P.S. 232 days until the Man burns! (or 231 if you go by AU time zones)

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Don't join a camp.

Don't go to the event.

Instead, go out to the Black Rock Desert during the Burn.

Keep going past the entrance to take an alternate route onto the playa.

Set up camp on the other side of the desert with nothing but a folding chair, 400 cans of PBR, and a box of granola bars.

Now, sit and watch the city from a distance and drink until you become unconscious from sun exposure.

Repeat.

If not dead by the end of the week, you will have accomplished something that no Burner has ever done because it is completely fucking pointless and a waste of time.

This was a test of the Sleep Deprived Rambling Services. Tune back for more shit that doesn't make sense.

PavementBlues is definitely giving out bad advice. Forget the box of granola bars. For the same space you can add more PBR.
You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss the floor.

Naw, the granola bars fill that tiny little space that is left when you can't cram any more PBR in.

You see, Burning Man is more than just a hippie drug fest. It requires careful logistics and planning.

I brought a box of granola bars last year and when we emptied out the "pantry tent" they were still there. But all the beer was gone! As a virgin last year I even had PBR for breakfast a couple times. Strange things you do when you're not in the default world.

you'd never bad PBR for breakfast?! I've never been to BM, but at least I've done that :) I guess it won't be so scary after all....
