ParadiseMotel - Queer Camp hopes to return with Sno Cones

The Paradise Motel shall attempt to make another trip to the playa this year to serve up snow cones while encouraging people to show us their junk Assuming we can patch up our lovely pink RV, the USS Nancy Reagan, enough to make it.

We're a group from San Francisco consisting of gay gamer geeks, queers, fruit flies, fag stags, furries, gay for pay, PFLAG moms, str8 boys in a bro-mance, occasional drag queens, rice queens and a houseboy. Who aren't afraid to sit in an air conditioned RV eating bacon. Mmmmm bacon.

Perhaps on your way to that bright shining Metropolis, you've decided "why take a new road when an old road will do". Traveling down that winding old road, route 69, or 666 ... who knows, you decide to stop a while at the Paradise Motel. Take a dip in the (fake) pool and have a snow cone.

Oh well, people are most certainly welcome to add some of their own absinthe to their sno cones, but it costs several hundred dollars just for the regular syrup, we seriously couldn't afford that much absinthe. I wonder how the camps that do serve drinks can even afford it. Just doing a tiny camp like ours ends up costing several thousand. Probably the biggest issue is getting everything out there. To keep a generator running to power the snow cone machine all day means having to haul a good bit of petrol out. We ended up buying an old minivan last year to haul out that and water because buying one for $2000 was cheaper than renting a van for the week.

We have 2 RVs we own that are going this year, we are seeing if we have enough folks to rent a third so I can certainly forward your info to the entire camp.
