Some people seem to think mixing and sampling is some sort of radical new idea.
Francis Bacon suggested the concept.
It was codified as musique concrÃ¨te before I was born, especially with regard to using natural sounds. (as example the beer tab pull being used as a beat in the King of the Hill intro)

I'm thinking of getting a bunch of rap and other material built on samples and sampling it all, see if I can convert any of it to actual music...

What do you think of the Eclectic Method stuff?
There seems to be some interesting thought behind it anyway, with the use of video.
