Victorian - When it gets too cold here we travel. Next month we're heading to Tasmania. It will be mid-summer there. The first week of April we'll be passing through your area on the way to Oro Valley - again to thaw out.

Winebuff - I was surprised when I checked my wine. I had a couple bottles of the Santa Ema Merlot plus a couple bottles of the Santa Ema 60/40 Reserve. I thought they looked familiar. I did go out and pick up a couple bottles of Red Diamond.

Now that I got the wine settled I think I'll have a beer. A Very Noddy from Buckbean Brewery - a local brewery in Reno.

Perfect. When you are in Tasmania, try a bottle of thier sparkling. They are famous for sparkling and red wines. I am jealous!

The main reason for the trip, other than thawing out, is to do some geocaching. I just know there has got to be some caches hidden around some wineries

Last year was my virgin year. We ended up at 7:30 and Kinship. Too quiet and there was no buffer from the dust storms. This year we plan to leave about seven hours earlier so hopefully we'll snag a place a little further in from the outer ring. There will probably be a meet and greet for the ePlayans again this year. I missed it last year but I will not miss it this year. First year I was just too overwhelmed to really plan anything.

Great, glad you like it. Cheap and solid for the price. Anyone else want a suggestion?

Also Columbia Crest Grand Estate Merlot from Wash is great also, Snoqualmie Cab-Merlot is great at $7.99 or so. Ok, now I will shut up...... sorry for the wine talk everyone.

Hey this Red Diamond is pretty good. Going through my wine I did find one other Washington bottle, a 2006 Chateau Ste Michelle Columbia Valley Cab. I don't remember buying it - must be a left over from a party

Good, I am glad you like it. Drink the Ch St Michelle cab. 06 is ready to roll. We rep them and they are fantastic. great wines and great people. I am here if anyone wants suggestions. Tough job huh? Funny though, I have drank so much wine that now I LOVE my martinis, pomegranite, not too sweet.

winebuff - I see you have Oregon listed as your location. What generic area of Oregon are you in? We are doing a geocaching road trip from Sparks, Nevada to Seattle. The first night, June 30, we'll be spending in Klamath Falls and the second night, July 1, we'll be in Gresham.

Mona is moaning. Coffee should be ready any moment. Hope Doc's bus has chains - they're required on 80 this morning.

One eye open, stumbles into YG's campfire, falls onto PM's lap and has a slug of WB's sake. Whoops, I think I may have gotten all that a bit confused. Start again ... stumbles in, pours a cup of coffee, looks in the miror then in the garden .... sees the grass from the right side and decides he's still here for another day. Not too bad.
