Hi,

I am looking at trying to make some earrings to hand out as gifts at 2010 Burning Man. I was going to try and put the burning man image on them. Are there any rules against using the image for festival activiities?

There is no restriction to the use of the Burning Man logos and images. You can make cool art, reproduce anything you want or even have some novelty things (like shot glasses etc) produced.

The only thing that you CANNOT do is sell any of these cool things. Anything that you make and bring with you should either be a gift or for some form of art. The same goes for photos that you take. If you plan on doing anything commercially, you must get a permit to shoot. If it's just a commoners camera, you can take all the photos you want---just don't put them up for sale or you will be struck by lightening!

I have taken some great photos in the past and then had them put on pins to give out. All is fair with that as well.

these are just going to be gifts.

Now if I can figure out an easy way to make earrings. The burning man image needs to be really small and keeps getting distorted.
