Although he is quite dashing...I may have been overcome by cologne fumes.

More than once a month. Definitely will tonight. We had some friends over and played a couple CDs of Burning Man pictures on the TV.

Last night I had a dream that I arrived up in BRC and forgot to bring my suit cases. (I travel from the east coast by plane) As the dream went on, it turns out that I completely forgot to pack anything for the week, including my tent and sleeping bag.

This dream can only mean one thing----MY TICKETS WILL BE HERE TODAY! :D

that wasn't a dream, that was United Airlines, and you can pick up your luggage in chicago after the burn Sorry for any inconvenience, like charging you $25 to lose them.

my Burning Man dreams are almost always the same. The event takes place in a grassy location with trees all around. There usually is a town nearby right on the edge of the event. Usually, I spend all week futzing around with equipment and projects and realize the event is almost over and I haven't even made it out to the playa to see the Man.

several times a week. The playa has become one of my most frequent regular dream locations.

Except, of course, it's not the real playa. It's more a metaphoric frame of reference for the usual mess of dreams, visionary, anxious, mundane, glorious, whatever.

EXCEPT! In playa dreams when I realize that I'm not wearing any pants, I DON'T CARE!

I had a dream last night where I arrived at BM and I had forgotten all my supplies. No costumes, no goggles, no sunscreen. I smell an anxiety...

Obama dreams?

Post by swampdog » Tue Jan 26, 2010 12:04 pm

You too!? I've had Obama dreams also. My favorite was the one where he'd invited my family in to live in the white house guest suite for a while so we could hang out and chill. He invited me in to a cabinet meeting because he thought I might find it interesting and an outside voice might have some useful input. I don't remember the conclusion, but I probably got everything straightened out pretty-damn-quick.

Normally I get my playa dreams the night after I buy my tickets. Bought mine yesterday, but I had dreams I was in someone's house. I'll keep you posted.

My playa dream is that burningman is taking place on a HUGE beach & I'm wandering around in a bathing suit & water wings trying to find the ocean. I do have LOTS of fun adventures on my search , but never find the water. go figure. :)

I had my first one last night. It was solely based on my mind's eye's interpretation of what the playa will be like. I was inside my shelter (I'm going to build a hexayurt) and I felt like I I was dirty. I woke up with the strong sense that I had been touching a 9-volt battery battery to my tongue - because on the side of a generic 9-volt battery is the word ALKALINE.

And that's it. A brief glimpse of what I think the inside of my structure will look like on the playa and (even still right now) the memory of 9-volt battery tongue.

Weird.

My lady friend, for whom I got the second ticket, said she had a playa dream, wandering around BRC, lost. I told her that happens a lot.

I had a playa dream last night. I was at home in the booby bar it was very nice.

I had one a few months ago that i got to the playa and realized that I forgot all of my clothing/costumes but thats okay because there was a wal mart across the street so I pieced things together there. I hate the wal mart playa dream.

I've also had a few dreams similar to Shambala where I went with just a ticket and no provisions.
