broken toes
So the storm came the Wednesday before last, in the bay area. I was standing by the back door in my house, when the wind blew it open. The toe next to the smallest stopped it thankfully. But, I heard a pop, and was soon reduced to crawling into my bedroom. I taped that toe, to his neighbor. Have had the two together for over a week. Its fine to walk on, unless I'm wearing shoes. Should I remove the semi-splint? Seems the bandaging may be causiing them to cramp.[/img]

Yeah, I've been wearing my steel toe boots, which are nice and stiff. Shitty thing is I drive a big rig..and with the recent rains, I can't really use the cruise control....so my right foots been working ovetime on that accelerator. Wind up limping again, by days end.

Careful with that toe man !
I broke my toe 3 weeks before leaving england for BM last year, I thought I had it in the bag - lots of frozen peas to reduce the swelling and Arnica, it felt alright and I was walking normally. This sounds insane - but my foot is STILL bruised!!!!! ....So take it easy!!!! It will take six weeks to heal but, will be loads better in 10 days.
Whats fucking funny is that when I got back here I broke my big toe on the other foot! WTF?

Your girl friend is fucking with you
Broken toes hurt. I broke mine & my "nurse" neighbor told me it was just dislocated. I went THREE FREAKING WEEKS trying to re-set the damn thing.. & it FUCKING hurt everytime I yanked on it.. turns out it was broken & not dislocated. My advice, see a doctor.

Broken toes def suck, puts a crimp in running from the zombies
Mine took a few weeks to heal as well. Just try to keep a load off of it, elevate it when possible and try taking nsaids like ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
However, it has been my experience of late that broken shoulders are infinitely more painful and debilitating then broken toes. 7 months out and I still can't press more then a 6 pack overhead
Now, everybody repeat after me: Do not run on the sailboat!

Broken toes are miserable, never broke the shoulder but had rotator cuff surgery last January ('09). It seriously took 10-11 months to be pain free and have the strength back.Sail Man wrote:Broken toes def suck, puts a crimp in running from the zombiesMine took a few weeks to heal as well.
