1st timer

Post by wadeinater » Thu Feb 04, 2010 1:43 am

I am looking really, really forward to Burning Man. I've not been on vacation very much: too much work and not enough play. My mode of transportation is a 1967 VW camper van (got to go through it and get it running). I'll be bringing gear and a bicycle built for two-not tandem, but side by side. I've been perusing the website and there is alot of great information. Wish everyone best of luck in their travels.

Mike

create funky costumes
savor the fireball
Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

On the basis of "Radically Self Reliance", you need to reach inside yourself and find the answer to that question.

reaching inside

Thanks a bunch. I missed the "Radical Self Reliant" list and I am reaching inside myself looking for answers.

I'm not sure that this could be considered a vacation. After Burning Man is over, I look forward to getting back to work so I can rest. I will tell you that this trip to the desert does revive the brain and give you a new perspective on the world---albeit a dusty perspective!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Not to be argumentative, but I consider BM the best vacation on Earth. Specially the first time. It is totally different from all the usual stuff we do -- which seems like the very definition of the word vacation.
