Of all the pics and flickr albums and youtube videos I've browsed through, for some reason it was this picture of wild horses on the playa in the 1950s when I realized how excited I was to finally be going...

That's an awsome pic Kiro :D!! If the horses ran through nowaday & at the time of the event, don't know who would be more scared: them or us :) Hope your trek is safe, start daydreaming now 8)

What were they doing on the playa anyway? It's hard to imagine what circumstances would send them there. Of course, that could be someplace where the playa is narrow. Since I know that some of the horses are in the Calicos and those are mcuh further north of Gerlach...

Anyway, I am confused.
