Just watch out for DPW, There kinda like nazi's 'cept they dont like anyone....I Mean ANYONE!

They slave away for very small duckets to build the infrastructure for 1.5 months...then they have to clean it all up for 1.5 months...3 months on the playa doing things for party animals, well now you know why they dont like anyone!

Unless..you get to know them...Its a long time rehearsal, kinda like making friends with a very hungry pissed off Badger(no offense Badger).
It takes years and years of practice with bloody PBR's placed before their doorway, then without moving, just appreciate the beauty of said creature, eventually you'll begin to earn a value of trust, not that they trust you, they are just very very thirsty.

No burning crosses ?

Appearantly you weren't there in 2001, 2003, 2004, or 2006.

You bet your ass there is some burning crosses.

Yeah. Well, there are no known literal nazis. Until there is some clarification by the OP, the question cannot be answered.

i am 20 i will be turning 21 the second day of BM September 1. I was really just worried that there is a bunch of no so nice people that attend and if i am going to travel cross country to camp out in the playa. I would like to go into it thinking that its a community of people that would love to see a planet not ruled be George Bushes.

Any one have any suggestions of a nature loving couple should camp near?
( any input would be greatly appreciated ) :D

You better stay away...there are actually people who attend who admire George Bush.

In the default world, there is nothing I hate more than haters, however, Burning Man was founded by a very nice hater, Larry Harvey. Because of him, I have learned to be tolerent of people with this head covering and even bought one for myself. I will not go so far as to say that I love haters, but I don't hate them as strongly as I used to.

I think you have lots and lots of studying to do!!!!!

Well you only drive long enough to get to as camping spot then again to leave said camping spot to go home. Unless you have a mutant vehicle you don't get to drive around.
so yes your rear wheel drive van should be fine.
I was wondering how long it was going to take PM to come by with the manditory reading material. Read often because there will be a test.

Any motor vehicle will be fine. There is a layer of fine dust, but the surface below that is almost like concrete. In the rare event of getting stuck in a "pot hole" or "snow drift", there will be lots of people to give you a push.

Read. And look at the 10.000 photos in the Image Gallery.

We took our Toyota Scion XA to the playa. It did fine and it is a little thing. Killing the kamikaze jackrabbits was more traumatic than in the big Trailblazer, in the SUV you can't feel them thump thump thump under your butt.

Seriously, don't swerve to miss the rabbits on highway 447, just run them over. Swerving is a quick way to die.

Dont even think about it just run them over. I havent counted and I don't think I want too. There are these cute little mice that like to hang out in the road as well with the suicidal rabbits. Beware of the damn cows though. Evil evil cows

Shambala--You posted that picture and did not include the phrase "Trademark Stetson." 42 points will be deducted from your total.

Most threads take a while before Nazis are discussed. This thread is in direct violation of that rule.

Four trips to the Playa, and I don't remember seeing any critters on the road. Could be because I drive only in daylight -- which might mean I see them in plenty of time and I'm not startled.

Always safer to drive in the daytime!
