So is there a "go-to" brand for cheap conac? I'm still boycotting Gallo, so E&J won't work.

(And I'm one of those people who was anti-french before it because culturally ubiquitous, but really, isn't the mere idea of cheap conac blastphemous?)

E&J isn't cognac, it's barely brandy!

Look at prices for Courvoisier.

Actually a couple of California companies attempted to mimic the cognac process ("alambic"), with dim results.

yeah, I'd say Courvoisier or Hennessey would be the place to look.

BevMo has pretty good price and selection.

I giggle at the french, I have not much respect for their overall society (but, I do loves them as individuals) and attitudes......
but,
they have done many things well (all in the past), and, contributed much to the world......
cognac, being one.

and,
you drive, or want, a Prius, or other car/truck, don't you?...........

No, that's not what I was trying to convey at all. I was attempting to get across that this idea was so wrong, that even someone who hates the french is horrified at the thought.

does that make sense?

Morning! Love cartoons, have my bowl of dried cereal to munch while watching. Friday nights when I was a kid, my parents in an effort to sleep later, would pour us little bowls of cereal to eat the next morning (before we were trusted pouring milk) for our cartoon watching.

I scored some plastic backsplash panels yesterday, clearancing at 50 cents each. Fake copper pattern. thinking of a centurion or Marvin the Martian costume. House sitting this weekend, means I have lots of space to work and use tools.

Change of pace - no desert and dust but mountains and snow. This afternoon we'll celebrate the 13th by taking a snowshoe hike up to Chickadee Meadows to watch the sunset over Lake Tahoe with wine and cheese. Early Valentines Day.

Hi ya'll yeah we got up early to go try and score some cheap ext. french doors. damn ...didnt pan out!

Had to get tune up stuff for Titwi's truck, gotta do some trailer/camper/trucks moving in the next 24 hours to be able to get the camper over to Dicks for next weekends summitt meet!

We have a whole crazy list of to do's for the next coming weeks....weeeee here comes spring!!!!!!

A 10'x12'+ Green House OH YEAH BABY!

A 10'x 17' Sunroom off the kitchen
Cut a 30'+ beetle infested tree down
Not in this order...hehee
Have to get new black truck in for head to toe diagnostic to see if she can assume the duties of rig pulling.

I love spring...i know i know...but were getting a pretty good jump run on it this weekend cause the weather is decent!

? sorry I've been off the grid for awhile--puter' was all messed up & just didn't have the way/will to fix it, but I'm back now & will be Bar-ing more regularly. It's been a mesh of work, chit-chatting, and simple happiness since getting back from the desert. We are roughly about 6 1/2 months out from this go around, if everything pans, should be a goodtime & a lot more kick-ass looking COFFEE CAMP (electronic posters coming in the near future...)
