I'm overseas and fortunate enough to have to access the e-Playa over 56k which to say the least, is bearable.
I am wishing for the ability to watch any particular forum and be notified of changes by email.
May I spin around the universe 4 times so you may grant me my wish?

While I've no doubt that technically that may be useful, in practical reality it results in the ruination of the email address used.
There are so many posts and changes to forums and topics that I've ended up getting my inbox flooded on a regular basis.
I've unsubscribed and emailed the eplaya admins SEVERAL times regarding what amounts to the spamming of my email account, and have even categorized the inundation of emails as spam in the attempt to get my yahoo account to turn it away before it reaches my inbox, all to no avail.
It continues to pour in.
I'd recommend creating a whole new "junk email" account to test how much mail you'll actually get before ruining the one you use regularly.
If any admins can help me with this problem, I'd sure appreciate it.

I have a similar, but opposite query. It seems that whenever I do happen to post I am automatically watching that topic/thread. I don't want to be notified. I check the e-playa out at least weekly and I don't want my e-mail box filled with notifications. I want to know if I have to remember to click the stop watching this topic link everytime. If so, that's fine, but if not, what am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Ape-Rule

I know I get sucked into just reading my "Watched Topics" as I get notified of them, and then I forgot to log on to Eplaya and look for new topics. So it could be useful to have a notify feature that would have the name of the Forum and the new topic and then a link to it. If we could choose which Forums we wanted to keep track of, that would be even better.
