Electric Apricot: The Quest for Festeroo

Post by convenientlust » Thu Feb 18, 2010 1:54 pm

Has anyone seen this movie 'Electric Apricot: The Quest for Festeroo'? It's a National Lampoon's movie, but it's made be Les Claypool. It's a pretty funny festival/jam band spoof movie.

"Hey are you going to Burning Man?"

I saw it...it had it's moments....I'd connect to my full review but Wordpress is down.

The festival bits are the best, all the band stuff is the same ol' stuff that's been done and done.

Yeah, there were certain moments that I found hiarious, others not so much. When I put it on, I didn't expect to hear the Burning Man song though. That's why I posted it :D

Oh, and I like when the guitar player passes out in the woods, only wear 1 sandal.

Is Pig Hunt another Les Claypool movie? I'll definitely have to check it out.

I watched Electric Apricot two weeks ago, fully aware of the Burning Man references (which is the only reason I rented it). To quote the old cartoon The Critic: "It stinks!" Two hours of my life I will never get back. Sure there was a laugh or two, but it needed nudity (I do not consider some guy's ass to qualify for nudity; I want female, preferable full frontal), but then, what movie doesn't? Don't waste your time.
