21-year-old Nodar Kumaritashvili, a native of Borjomi, Georgia, killed after a brutal crash during a training run at the Olympic luge facility this morning. He lost control of his sled approaching the final turn and flew into a metal pole. Training has been suspended.

(Caveat Google: Video of the crash is already on YouTube. I saw an AP photo taken seconds before impact, and it was heart-stopping enough. Have a care as you open links.)
